‘The Chose One’ Drew McIntyre shared a story when he carried an inebriated Bret Hart back to bed.

Not many would have had the chance to carry a sloshed Bret Hart back to bed, but two-time WWE champion Drew McIntyre did have the privilege to do so during his not-so-famous days.

Bret Hart ruled the roost during the 90s. He was the face of WWF (now WWE), and is one of the greatest to have ever graced the ring. The Hitman retired in 2000 from professional wrestling before having a brief stint with the WWE during 2010-2011.

His 2010 stint was the time when he impressed a lot of up and coming stars in the WWE, and one among them was a young Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish Psychopath recently released a new book titled ‘A Chosen Destiny’, where he extensively shared details about The Hitman being an inspiration, before going on to reveal a rather ‘intoxicated story’.

McIntyre wrote how he and Hart’s niece Natalya Neidhart had carried a drunk Bret Hart back to bed after a besotted night at a bar. McIntyre further divulged how wholesome he had felt then, since he had fidgeted with only an action figure of Hart until that day.

The Chose one had the following to say in his book, about that incident:

“On one of these late-night occasions, I had the honour of helping his niece Natalya Neidhart carry him up to bed after he had drunk too much. Natalya’s father, Jim, was Bret’s brother-in-law and long-time tag team partner. That was awesome. Many years after I had spent hours wielding the tiny Bret ‘Hit Man’ Hart action figure around my toy wrestling ring on my bedroom floor in Ayr, now here I was picking up his limbs for real to get him to bed!” [via Metro.co.uk]

Drew McIntyre vs Tyson Fury on the cards

Drew McIntyre has expressed his desire to fight the ‘Gypsy King’, Tyson Fury, saying that the matchup makes complete sense and that he doesn’t care about going down when hit by a Fury right hand.

McIntyre went on to reveal that he would like to fight out in the United Kingdom, before christening it as the Battle of Britain. The two-time WWE champion claimed that such an event would do the economy of UK, a world of good and also increase the fanbase.

Fury has got his hands full right now, as he is actively preparing himself for a heavyweight title unification bout for the undisputed champion of the world, against Anthony Joshua.

McIntyre might have to wait a little longer before he can take on The Gypsy King.
