Mick Foley comments on Drew McIntyre hitting Shanky with around 20 chair shots on Raw

WWE legend Mick Foley was unimpressed with Drew McIntyre after his attack on Shanky with chair shots on Monday Night RAW.

Foley witnessed McIntyre’s relentless attack on the red brand and thought that the Scotsman went overboard in his segment.

“Big fan of Drew’s…but 20 chair shots should either be done to build a feud of epic proportions…or they shouldn’t be done at all #RAW,” Mick Foley wrote.

The attack was part of the new storyline between Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre after Mahal stole the family sword of McIntyre. The Scottish Psychopath returned the favour with a brutal destroying of Mahal’s fancy bike the week later.

Foley has been part of dangerous matches including TLC and Hell in a Cell matches. The rivalry of the two also includes Mahal aligning with Veer and Shanky – newcomers on RAW.

McIntyre was furious after he lost his final chance at regaining the WWE Championship from Bobby Lashley at WWE Hell in a Cell. He will now most likely face Mahal at SummerSlam after the former teammates rivalry has gone south.

Jinder Mahal returns with a Vengeance

Mahal is a former WWE Champion and has shown the fans of his capabilities inside a ring. He did not fare too well in the beginning of his career, but now boasts one of the most impressive resumes in the business. Mahal and McIntyre were together as part of 3MB and were a relative unknown team who got squashed by the big guns.

Mahal has Veer and Shanky in the new gimmick on RAW

This time around, Mahal v McIntyre seems a mouthwatering battle with the history that they share and the current status in the company. McIntyre will be disappointed with his title loss, but will look to take out Mahal once and for all, evident with his attack on Shanky.

We will wait and see what happens on the coming weeks on RAW ahead of SummerSlam in August.
