Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio will team up to face the team of The Miz and Logan Paul at WrestleMania 38 in a tag team match.
Rey Mysterio has been wearing the legendary Mysterio mask for a long time. Rey Mysterio’s uncle Rey Misterio wore the Mysterio mask and the tradition was continued by the Master of 619. Mysterio’s son, however, wrestles without a mask.
On this week’s episode of RAW, Rey Mysterio took on The Miz in a match which the former won in a jiffy. During the match, veteran Michael Cole was on commentary. Cole mentioned that Rey Mysterio hasn’t given Dominik the mask because he wants his son to earn it.
Out of Character podcast host and popular figure in the pro wrestling world, Ryan Satin tweeted about the incident saying that the moment would be special when Mysterio hands over the mask to Dominik.
“Michael Cole explaining that Dominik has to earn the Mysterio mask is a pretty big detail in the Mysterios dynamic together as a team. I don’t recall that being mentioned on WWE TV before like that. If built right, when he finally passes it on, that moment could be emotional af.”
Dominik’s first match at WrestleMania
The 24-year-old talented Dominik Mysterio will compete at WrestleMania 38. This will be his first taste of The Showcase of the Immortals as a competitor.
Dominik and Rey Mysterio are former WWE SmackDown Tag Team champions. They are all set to take on the team of Miz and Logan Paul at The Show of Shows.
Rey Mysterio faced The Miz at the Elimination Chamber 2022 pay-per-view. Dominik was at ringside during the match. The A-lister got involved in a war of words with Dominik on a few occasions during the match. Rey won the match and Miz said that Dominik’s involvement was the reason he lost. He mentioned he would bring a partner to even the odds and face them at WrestleMania.
The RAW after Elimination Chamber saw Miz revealing Logan Paul as his tag team partner. They have been ambushing the Mysterios over the past few weeks. Last week, Miz pulled out Rey’s mask. The Biggest Little Man in WWE got his revenge this week on RAW as he pulled out his mask which Logan Paul was wearing. The feud has been built up quite well and hopefully, we will see a good match at WrestleMania.
