Cody Rhodes transformed completely after he left WWE and started wrestling in All Elite Wrestling. From his entrance to the pyros, even his ring gear had a new look to it
As per WrestleVotes, two high-profile persons from WWE are determined to convince Vince McMahon to keep Cody’s presentation from his AEW stint intact.
According to the undisclosed duo, the visual impact of having the ‘American Nightmare’ switching from AEW to WWE is significant to this deal. Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE has been doing the rounds ever since he and his wife, Brandi Rhodes left AEW.
However, nothing concrete has come out even as reports suggested that the former two-time Intercontinental champion had signed with WWE almost three weeks ago.
Will Cody Rhodes return next week on RAW?
It has been speculated time and again that Seth Rollins will be Cody Rhodes’ first opponent post his return to WWE. That too at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
WWE has made a nice storyline around Rollins not having a match at WrestleMania. While The Visionary had two attempts to book his ticket to The Show of Shows, he squandered both his chances.
The first one was on last week’s RAW where he failed to defeat Kevin Owens. A win in that match would have meant that Rollins would have been hosting Stone Cold Steve Austin at ‘Mania instead of Owens.
The second chance he blew was on this week’s episode of the red brand. The Architect faced AJ Styles and a win would have given him a chance to meet Edge at ‘Mania. However, Styles won the match via disqualification when the Rated-R superstar attacked him.
Whenever Rollins has appeared on RAW over the past few weeks, fans have chanted Cody’s name. Considering next week’s RAW is the last one before WrestleMania 38, Cody has to return if he is at all in the plans to face Rollins at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Another situation can happen if Seth comes to the ring at WrestleMania and demands a match with anyone in the locker room and Cody comes out to face him. That would mean that even next week’s RAW will not see Cody returning.
