WWE Superstar Chad Gable planning to continue with company after rumors of leaving

Chad Gable is set to continue his stint in WWE, after reports emerged that he is going to move after becoming a free agent.

According to reports, Chad Gable still has “plenty of time” remaining on his WWE contract and will not move to any rival promotions. There were reports that several people in AEW were waiting to bring Gable to their company after his run in The Alpha Academy (h/t Fightful via Cageside seats)

Gable has been part of the WWE roster ever since making appearances with Jason Jordan as part of the American Alpha. Jason Jordan has not competed in WWE since suffering a serious neck injury in January 2018.

Gable is now appearing frequently on WWE SmackDown with Otis, as they put on impressive performances together. This could eventually lead to a possible title shot in the next few months, with Otis receiving multiple pushes in the last few years. His teammate, Gable is set to profit from that if they continue their hot streak.

Gable has managed to turn around from the “Shorty G” disaster and is now back on track to be an integral part of the tag team division.

Chad Gable: The former Olympian

He wrestled with his real name, Charles Betts, prior to his WWE career. The 35-year-old qualified for the 2012 London Summer Olympics in the Greco-Roman style 84kg category. Betts/Gable won his first match at the 2012 Olympics by defeating Keitani Graham 6-0 and 1-0.

The American faced Pablo Shorey of Cuba in the pre-quarter finals and lost missing out on a medal. The former NXT Champion since then has made an impressive rise in professional wrestling to the main roster in WWE. He is sure to stay longer and go on to conquer more accolades in the future.
