Bully Ray and LaGrecay say Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro should transfer from SmackDown to NXT

Speaking on the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast, former WWE wrestler Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca discussed that Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura should go to NXT to revive their careers.

Le Greca agreed with Ray’s assessment of Nakamura and said that the Japanese ‘ticked all the boxes’ and is ‘entertaining’. However, he adds that he was at his best during his time with the Gold brand.

“When he was with NXT, he was amazing. If you’re not going to use him on SmackDown and you’re not going to use him on the main roster, then put him on NXT.”

La Greca then adds that WWE should put Nakamura in a feud with Finn Balor. He says that it will not only benefit the Child of God, but also Balor, who could use a worthy rival to his NXT belt.

Ray says that he’s “all about taking that talent and having them work at NXT”. He adds that going to NXT isn’t a step down for him, and neither will it be for the fans.

Apart from Nakamura, Ray suggested that Cesaro should also make the journey to the Gold brand. He even had some rivalries for the two in his mind.

“Cesaro and Ciampa, Cesaro and Thatcher, Shinsuke and Balor, Shinsuke and anybody.”

Both Ray and LaGreca make complete sense here, especially when it comes to Nakamura. He made one of the greatest debut entries on the main roster but has faded ever since that moment.

Cesaro and Nakamura have been a tag team recently, but Nakamura’s recent defeat to Adam Pearce shows that WWE is not ready to let the Japanese be a solo main event-er just yet.

Hence, a move to NXT for both would make sense and help their reinstate their superstar status.
