Baron Corbin’s appearance with Bobby Lashley leaves Bully Ray confused over Hurt Business future

Baron Corbin appeared this week with Bobby Lashley after The Hurt Business split on the show

This week’s WWE RAW was not without its shock moments. The episode saw The Hurt Business break up after Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin walked out on the faction.

And at the end of the show, Baron Corbin made a surprise appearance. The SmackDown superstar helped Bobby Lashley put a beatdown on former champion, Drew McIntyre.

Earlier in the night, Lashley put out an offer whereby he would give anyone a title shot if they could get ‘The Chosen One’ out of the title equation.

And Corbin was just responding to that. Making sense of the whole thing on this week’s episode of the Busted Open podcast was Bully Ray.

“I don’t know why they would have said that… even if that’s what they want for us to believe, it’s entirely too early; how can they make that assumption that we have a new Hurt Business. I don’t know why [Baron Corbin made an appearance].”

He then stated how he disliked how Corbin was in the last shot of the show inside the ring with the WWE champion.

Bully did say that he was a big fan of King Corbin, but he wanted Sheamus to be involved in the angle as well in order to set up a tag team match between Sheamus and Drew, and Lashley and Corbin.

“I tell you what I hated. I hated Corbin being in that shot last night. I’m a huge fan of Corbin, I think he plays his role best if not better than anyone in that company at times, I just did not like seeing Baron Corbin in the ring with Bobby Lashley last night… I honestly thought that they would run Sheamus in because of the relationship with Sheamus and Drew.”

This is truly a very surprising development on the show but it seems unlikely that Corbin would be involved in the faction because it would honestly make very little sense.

But it remains to be seen what the promotion actually does with this angle. For now, Lashley’s focus would be on defending his belt against the Scotsman at WrestleMania 37.
