“The Man” has dominated the women’s division on the RAW brand ever since her comeback from pregnancy. She will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38.
Becky Lynch shared an incident on her Twitter handle which happened 10 years ago. She remembered telling a friend that she wants to feature in the main event of WrestleMania someday. The six-time Women’s Champion in WWE noted that the undisclosed friend had told her to have dreams that are realistic.
Becky pointed out that 10 years down the line, she has become the first woman to win the main event of WrestleMania, and now she main events on a daily basis. This was in reference to her being in the main event of WWE’s latest live event in Moline, Illinois where she beat Rhea Ripley.
10 years ago I told a friend I want to main event Wrestlemania. They said “it’s nice to have dreams but be realistic.” I was the first woman to win the main event of Wrestlemania and now I main event on a nightly basis. That’s what it means to be #BigTime #WWEMoline
Becky Lynch versus Bianca Belair is heating up
Bianca Belair won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match last month in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and booked her ticket to WrestleMania 38 challenging Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship.
A few weeks ago on an episode of RAW, Becky Lynch teamed with Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop to face the team of Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley. During the course of the match, Becky constantly targeted Bianca long hair as she used it to her advantage. One of the highest-paid superstars in WWE, Lynch tied Bianca’s hair to the ropes and delivered a leg drop on the haplessly tied EST of WWE.
Bianca would get her revenge towards the closing stages of the match as she would whip Becky with her locks. Becky would carry scars after that assault all over her body.
A couple of weeks ago in WWE’s house show, Becky defended her title against Belair and Ripley. Becky posted a video after the match and informed that Bianca had fractured her larynx.
PWInsider had reported that Lynch’s injury was legitimate, but that she’s only expected to be out for two weeks. The 35-year-old however, returned the week after and unleashed a brutal assault on her WrestleMania 38 opponent. She would wrap a chair around Belair’s neck and send her crashing into the ring post. Belair was left gasping for breath.
The build-up has been intriguing and there are still a couple of episodes of RAW left before the Show of Shows.
