There was controversy on this week’s Raw after Montez Ford was poisoned

Angel Garza has hit out at the Street Profits and Montez Ford getting poisoned on this week’s Raw.

Garza and Andrade are to face the Profits for the Raw Tag Team titles at the PPV. All four men were in action though in singles competition.

While Garza battled Angelo Dawkins, Ford was up against Andrade. The result of these matches didn’t matter much though as Ford collapsed twice during the two clashes.

There was a lot of concern for one-half of the tag champions, and doctors had to work on him. It was later revealed that Ford had been poisoned and there were questions about who had done the deed.

Bianca Belair let rip as she blamed Zelina Vega for poisoning her husband. However, the manager of Garza and Andrade flatly denied doing it.

Avoiding a title defence?

The Profits are to defend the titles at SummerSlam 2020, however, Garza took a shot at their accusations.

Garza believed that the champions were scared of losing their titles at SummerSlam and that’s why they brought the ‘poison’ angle on Raw:

It is to be seen what happens next on the upcoming Raw episode. Belair has continued to hit out at Vega and claimed she is now involved in this storyline since her husband was attacked.

Ford collapsing during the show was a genuine concern for many and some have hit out at this storyline.

There were other ways to show that a wrestler had been poisoned. However, WWE now has something to work with and increase the rivalry between the two talented teams.

Garza and Andrade have had their own issues in the past but they are working well now.
