Andrade is back in the spotlight as he made a surprise entry at Lucha Libre’s AAA challenging the champion Kenny Omega
A couple of months ago, Andrade was at a crossroads. He was released by the WWE as a part of their usual roster cuts.
He had been inactive since then, and just a couple of days ago he joined Federacion Wrestling. Now it looks like he has joined Lucha Libre’s AAA Worldwide as well.
Andrade made a surprise entry at the end of the AAA show, albeit in a pre-taped video.
Right away he targeted the big guns of AAA, viz. Kenny Omega and Psycho Clown. Andrade expressed his desire to take on AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega in a championship match at TripleMania 29.
But before that he stated that he wanted to defeat Psycho Clown and win the Mega Championship.
‘El Idolo’ also took to Twitter to mention the same. He tweeted:
“Si Kenny omega acepta nos vemos en triplemania @luchalibreaaa y @Psychooriginal nos vemos pronto. If kenny accepts the challenge, see you at #Triplemania and Psycho see you soon. #ElIdolo #Andrade #LaSombra #AAA“
It is worthy to mention that, brother of WWE commentator Corey Graves, Sam Adonis, also made his AAA debut the same day.
Omega, for his part, also responded to this challenge from Andrade. The AEW Champion claimed he was a busy man and wanted some time to think about it.
Andrade to headline Federacion’s first show on June 19
Andrade is making big moves. Being fired from the WWE might even be a blessing in disguise for ‘El Idolo’.
Just a few days after signing with Federacion Wrestling, he is set to headline their first show on June 19.
He is expected to team up with Rush, Bestia del Ring and an undisclosed partner.
Federacion’s debut show is also set to feature a plethora of talent from the All Elite Wrestling, as the promotion has decided to start with a bang.
