Alberto del Rio addresses allegations made by Paige against him and brings up $1million confidentiality agreement
Paige made a series of accusations against Alberto del Rio regarding his behaviour towards her during the couple’s time together.
Del Rio and Paige made her relationship public in May 2016 while the two were on WWE but later split in late 2017 after being engaged since October 2018. And Paige recently came out about del Rio’s abusive behaviour towards her in an interview with GAW.
There, Paige made a number of accusations against del Rio, including that of domestic violence against her.
But del Rio has now come out to give an interview of his, where has tried to turn the tables and reveal that the couple had a $1million confidentiality agreement, which Paige broke.
It is important to note that del Rio’s statements can be either true or wrong, and in either case, it does not negate our belief in Paige’s side of the story. Moreover, del Rio’s character is not free of controversy and he has been on the wrong side of the law a few times.

This interview was given by del Rio on Lucha Libre Online (h/t Ringside News) on YouTube where he discussed every relevant topic that concerns him.
“For this reason and also for the love, for the beginning, for the 2 parties, to protect them, we did it and signed a confidentiality agreement for 1 million dollars. After signing it, I found out that Paige didn’t own a house, she didn’t have a car, she didn’t have more than $ 70,000 in the bank, and the one who really had to lose something was me.”
He said he was silent about the relationship after their break-up because he did not want to pay up the money to Paige for breaking their agreement; money which he says belongs to his children.
“Because thank God, WWE, Impact, AAA, all those companies made me great and gave me to win, but that money belongs to my children, it is the future of my children, it is for them to become someone … If the relationship ends, it hits me, my family hits me, and although everyone told me why I didn’t say anything, because that’s why, because I was tied to that contract, whoever I spoke to was going to come immediately to tail.”
del Rio also thanked Paige for breaking the confidentiality agreement because he is now free to talk about their time together, and he went on to mention that Paige was the one who was arrested for domestic violence, not him. (h/t Wrestling-Edge)
“So that’s why I say ‘thank you, Paige’ because you broke that confidentiality agreement; you freed me to take action if I am attacked again by you or by yours. In that relationship between Paige and me, there was a person who was arrested 3 times in San Antonio, Las Vegas, and Orlando for domestic violence; it was not me. There is a person who has 6, 7 police reports for domestic violence in San Antonio.”
