The Rated-R Superstar Edge had formed a heel faction known as The Judgement Day. However, he was kicked out of the group in just over two months.

The first member he added to the group was Damian Priest. The Archer of Infamy helped Edge to win his match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. Rhea Ripley was the next one to join the heel stable as she helped the Hall of Famer win against Styles at WrestleMania Backlash. On the June 6 episode of RAW, the fourth member of The Judgement Day was announced and it was none other than Finn Balor.

All four members were in the ring when Priest told Edge that he had taught them to remove things that were holding them back. What happened next shocked the WWE Universe. Priest said that the only thing that is holding them back is Edge. The group assaulted Edge and sent him crashing onto the announce desk.

Back in the ring, Balor took a broken leg of a steel chair and locked in the Glasgow smile. Priest went on to smash Edge’s head with a steel chair. That is the last we have seen of the veteran. In the following episode, Balor, Ripley, and Priest stated that they were a team of equals after throwing out their former leader from the group.

WWE provided an injury update (in storyline) for Edge on an episode of The Bump, saying he had suffered “a non-displaced orbital floor fracture.”

Latest update on the injury and Edge’s return date

Fightful reported that WWE wanted to incorporate more supernatural elements in The Judgement Day but Edge was against the idea. Eventually, that was the reason why Edge was removed from the group.

This week on RAW, Corey Graves on commentary once again stated that Edge had suffered a non-displaced orbital floor fracture and added that there is no update regarding when the legendary wrestler would return to action.

WWE might not want to keep Edge away for long as stalwarts like Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes are already out due to legitimate injuries.
