The WWE, AEW Rumor Roundup for June 8, 2022, includes Edge’s turn, The Judgement Day plans, The Miz and more!

These are all the latest rumor roundups in pro-wrestling, which are currently afloat. So let’s have a look at the rumor roundup from WWE and AEW.

1. Edge turn

Monday Night RAW saw Edge shockingly exiled from The Judgement Day. This happened after Finn Balor was revealed as the newest member of the group.

As Balor joined Judgement Day, he became the leader of the group and kicked out Edge from it. It will definitely help Raw’s current roster construction.

According to PW Insider, Edge is going to be working as a babyface. It does make sense. Since Rhodes is out of action, WWE needs a top babyface on RAW. There are some candidates like Bobby Lashley, Riddle, etc., but none can match the experience of Edge.

2. Judgement Day plans

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been moved to the babyface side of the RAW roster. This change came after he was kicked out of Judgement Day. Finn Balor joined the group, and the trio of Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest attacked Edge.

According to Fightful, there was talk in WWE of The Judgement Day going more “supernatural”, but he apparently opposed it. They also said that the reason for Edge leaving the group has to do with the direction that WWE wanted to take with it.

The Rated R Superstar leaving the stable emerged in the afternoon hours ahead of RAW. The Pitch of Balor becoming a member and turning heel was days before “Hell in the Cell”, and there was no mention at that point of Edge leaving the stable.

It is to note that at Hell in the Cell, Judgement Day had defeated Styles, Balor and Liv Morgan.

3. The Miz

According to the report, WWE may have the next guest in mind for Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Session’s next episode. As per PWInsider, talk backstage at WWE Monday Night RAW was that The Miz will be a future guest on Broken Skull Session. Whether The Miz would be a guest for BSS is unclear, nor was it 100% confirmed that he would be a guest.

This week on Monday Night Raw, the A-Lister was accompanied by his wife, Maryse. She hosted a Miz TV segment featuring Riddle, which included comments from Maryse and Riddle about the size of Miz’s balls.

Riddle then defeated Miz in a match where he was forced to wrestle in dress clothes, and in the end, his pants were torn apart, showing his underwear. It will be interesting to see how he makes a comeback.

4. Io Shirai injury

WWE NXT Superstar Io Shirai has been out of action on the show ever since she lost a match for the NXT Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way at Stand & Deliver.

According to Fightful Select. Io Shirai has been out with an injury; however, the details of it are not precise yet. Although it has not been revealed how long she’ll be out, there are no creative plans for her.

She recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated that a move to RAW or SmackDown would help her find new challenges in the promotions.

“Of course, I would be open to a move to SmackDown or RAW. The opportunity would present new goals and encounters different from what I have achieved and experienced in NXT.”
