The 29-year-old began her campaign at the Paris Masters with a comprehensive win against the youngest player in the competition, Coco Gauff. The Polish sensation once again showed her class and defeated Garcia in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

Kasatkina opened her campaign against Iga Swiatek. The three-time Grand Slam champion made light work of her and picked up a victory in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Kasatkina had to bounce back quickly as she faced Coco Gauff in her second match. The young American fought hard in the first set but Kasatkina managed to edge it. In the second set, the experienced campaigner outplayed Gauff to win the match 7-6 (8-6), 6-3. The Russian No. 1 was also helped by the fact that her opponent committed as many as 43 unforced errors.

Head-to-Head and Prediction

The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 1-1. Kasatkina won their previous encounter in three sets at the 2021 Silicon Valley Classic.

Prediction: Caroline Garcia to win in three sets.
