Novak Djokovic versus Jannik Sinner

The defending champion Novak Djokovic has been in sublime form in the tournament thus far. He won his first three matches without dropping a set. In his fourth-round match against Tim van Rijthoven, he won the first set but lost in the second. The Serbian did not give the Dutch player any chance from there on to make further inroads. He won the following two sets comprehensively to progress to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. He will be eyeing his 11th semi-final appearance in the prestigious tournament but he would not want to take his Italian opponent lightly.

Jannik Sinner is touted as one of the most promising youngsters currently playing tennis. He won a much-anticipated third-round match against another talented young player Carlos Alcaraz. The 20-year-old Sinner showed maturity beyond his age to better the 2022 Madrid Open champion 6-1, 6-4, 6-7 (8-10), 6-3.

Head to Head: 1-0 in favor of Novak Djokovic.

Prediction: Novak Djokovic to win in 4 sets.

David Goffin versus Cameron Norrie

David Goffin has made it to the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon for the second time in his career. The Belgian dominated his first two matches in the competition and came out with victories in straight sets. The 31-year-old dropped his first set in round three against world No. 112 Ugo Humbert. In the Round of 16 clashes against Frances Tiafoe, the world No. 58 had to dig deep after losing two out of the first three sets. He eventually won the five-set thriller 7-6 (7-3), 5-7, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.

The British No. 1 Cameron Norrie has won the Delray Beach Open and the Lyon Open this year. The Australian Open campaign turned out to be a debacle for him as he bowed out in the first round. The French Open was still better as he reached the third round before losing to Karen Khachanov. Wimbledon 2022 has been going well for the 26-year-old. He reached the quarter-final stage for the first time in his career at the event after defeating American Tommy Paul in straight sets in the Round of 16.

Head to Head: 1-0 in favor of Cameron Norrie.

Prediction: Cameron Norrie to win in 5 sets.
