Why Liverpool should move for Isak Johannesson quickly
According to Mirror, Liverpool are said to be planning a move for Isak Bergmann Johannesson. The Icelandic youngster has attracted interest from elite clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus for his performances this season. It has been reported that he would cost clubs around £10million in total.

Isak Bergmann Johannesson is a 17-year-old Icelandic forward who plays for Swedish side IFK Norrkoping. A youth product of IA Akranes, he spent his entire youth career there before being promoted to the senior team in 2018.
However, he could make just one senior appearance before IFK Norrkoping signed him in 2019. While he played just one game for the side last season, it is in 2020 that he truly broke onto the scene.
In 30 appearances for Norrkoping so far, he has scored 4 goals and assisted 11 more (source – Transfermarkt). The forward is currently a part of the Iceland U-21 squad despite being just 17. He has a total of 22 appearances across all age groups for Iceland, scoring 11 goals.
Johannesson can be one for the future at Liverpool
When a 17-year-old has managed to capture the attention of elite clubs such as Liverpool, you know the player has something special. Liverpool have always been a club to encourage youth and scout the best talent for their youth setup. Players such as Sepp van den Berg come to mind.
Johannesson is rapidly making strides at Norrkoping. It is scary to think how good he can become in the future. A natural forward, he can play on either wing or in central midfield if required.
At Liverpool, Johannesson can thrive and continue on his upward development trajectory. In a few years’ time, he can be thrust into the first-team. Under Jurgen Klopp, there is no doubt he will flourish even from a young age.

His versatility will no doubt be a huge asset for the Reds. He is capable of playing in three different positions. The club would be making no mistake pursuing a deal for Johannesson. He is clearly very talented, even for his age.
Liverpool would be wise to approach Norrkoping for his services very soon given clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus have already registered an interest in the player.
