Why is WWE releasing so many stars has been the talk of the town this year
WWE has again released a bunch of superstars, including John Morrison, Hit Row and even Tegan Nox.
Sean Ross took to Twitter to reveal all the names that have been released from WWE today for the budget cuts issue. Some of the characters are pretty surprising, like Tegan Nox, Shane Throne and Morrison.
“Fightful has learned that WWE has released John Morrison, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne, and Jaxson Ryker.”
This is not the first time a bunch of stars have been released from the company. A few days back, 18 superstars, including Keith Lee and Mia Yim, were removed from the company, including some NXT rosters.
Budget cuts the reason for WWE stars being released today
Sean Ross Sapp posted another Tweet in which he gave the reason for these releases from WWE cited by John Laurinaitis. It was reported that again budget cuts had been given the reason for these releases.
“John Laurinaitis cited budget cuts as the reason within the e-mail.”
When asked by the fans if there will be any other releases or cuts in the future, Ross Sapp said that he has not heard of any further additional cuts. Still, he mentioned explicitly that there might be some other releases happening as well tonight.
“For those asking, I’ve not heard of any additional cuts in this round. However, that doesn’t mean they will or will not happen tonight.”
It is to be noted that Morrison’s wife Franky Monet was also released earlier this month from the company, and now her husband also faces the heat.
