Maria Menounos is an entertainment reporter, actress, television personality, but how is she related to WWE?
In one of the most significant WWE events of the year, The Royal Rumble, WWE revealed a new special guest ring announcer, Maria Menounos. Menounos is a journalist, television host, actress and most importantly, a professional wrestler.
She has been a massive fan of wrestling and first appeared in the WWE in October 2009 while hosting Monday Night Raw. Maria made her in-ring debut in a six-diva tag team match.
Menounos made her WrestleMania debut in 2012, where she and Kelly Kelly beat Eve Torres and Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. On April 6, 2013, at Madison Square Garden, Menounos inducted Bob Buckland into the WWE Hall of Fame and teamed up with Natalya to defeat Brie Bella and Eva Mari at SummerSlam Axxess.
Maria Menounos is currently signed to WWE as an ambassador
Menounos signed with WWE, serving as an ambassador since 2013. She has been involved in a feud with WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.
She has hosted WWE Hall of Fame red carpet pre-show for six years, from 2014-to 2019. Maria also appeared during the event as a guest backstage interviewer for WrestleMania 31, WrestleMania 32 and WrestleMania 33.
Maria has appeared in one episode of WWE Network’s Swerved and was a backstage interviewer for SummerSlam. She also served as the special guest ring announcer for the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2018.
