What happened to ABC’s Ken Rosato? After being let go by WABC-TV over an alleged remark that was heard on a live microphone, the famous journalist Ken Rosato has finally spoken out.
After the alleged statement, the Emmy Award-winning anchor was reportedly fired from the network. Rosato’s spokeswoman has angrily disputed the charge that he used a “racial slur” that was made by an insider to Page Six.
“Being terminated for using a racial slur is completely false and untrue”, a spokeswoman for the journalist informed the media outlet. They said, “Ken Rosato had a benchmark of 20 years of supporting all inequality.” Rosato allegedly stated something off-air that was picked up on his mike, according to an unnamed source.

What happened to ABC’s Ken Rosato? According to reports, Rosato’s coworkers were just informed of his termination on Friday. Rosato “is no longer with WABC,” according to an email from the station’s general manager that Page Six was able to get. It said, “We thank him for his years of service.”
Each of Rosato’s co-anchors came in to speak with management about the circumstance separately. They were not informed of the cause of his termination. Since then, the former anchor’s biography has disappeared from WABC’s roster of reporters.
Sam Champion, a regular on Good Morning America, and Heather O’Rourke are among the network’s journalists. Rosato’s Twitter bio does, however, still make mention of Eyewitness News. On May 2, he last published a variety of commuter notifications.
In 2003, Rosato began working for Eyewitness News as a freelance journalist. In 2007, he received a promotion to morning and lunchtime anchor. According to his LinkedIn profile, the journalist previously worked as an anchor at Fox affiliate WNYW between 2002 and 2003.
Between 1998 and 2002, he worked as an anchor for the CBS Miami affiliate WFOR. Between 1989 through 1996, Rosato served as the news director and anchor for WBLI in New York.
