A few months back at the first Prime Video Prests India Showcase, the streaming platform announced 41 new titles from different genres and Indian languages to be launched over the next two years. Amazon also announced the return of its beloved series Made in Heaven, Pataal Lok, Four More Shots Please! And even The Family Man. Here is the list of some of the upcoming Indian shows and movies on Amazon Prime.

1. Farzi (Hindi) 

In this thriller marking the streaming platform debut of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, a small-time artist working out of his grandfather’s printing press designs the ultimate con job — printing money. But he soon gets pulled into the murky, high-stakes world of crime, while a fiery task force officer makes it his mission to rid the country of the menace.

This thriller movie will also feature Sethupathi alongside Raashi Khanna and Kay Kay Menon as Raj and DK. 

2. Dhootha (Telegu)

Telegu Superstar Chaitanya makes his web series debut with this supernatural horror in which possessed objects create havoc on the lives of people who commit deadly sins. The series also stars Prachi Desai and Parvathy Thiruvothu.

3. Dahaad (Hindi)

Made in Heaven director is back now with a thriller along with Ruchika Oberoi. Set in a small town, the show will be starring Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha as a female inspector on the search o a serial killer whose crimes will shake her to the core.

4. Hush Hush (Hindi)

Hush Hush will star Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Jhulka, Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna and Shahana Goswami in lead roles. Five women whose lives intersect in unexpected ways when an unforeseen event unravels, threatening to reveal their deepest darkest secrets.

5. Indian Police Force (Hindi)

Bollywood director Rohit Shetty will be bringing his Police Cinematic Universe to the digital platform as he helms this action thriller about a young Delhi Police officer who will go to any length to track down and bring to justice the terrorist mastermind behind a series of deadly bomb blasts around the country. This show stars Sidharth Malhotra along with Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Isha Talwar.

6. The Village (Tamil)

This is India’s first show based on a graphic novel, The Village follows a family on a road trip that falls victim to a clan of mutants. The star cast includes Arya, Divya Pillai and Jayaprakash.

7. Niyat (Hindi)

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan reunited with her Shakuntala Devi director Anu Menon in a thriller about a mysterious death at a billionaire’s birthday getaway. Hoping to find an answer is detective Mira Rao who unravels devious motives as the suspects are all of the billionaire’s close friends and family.

The other cast includes Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Kabi, Dipannita Sharma and Shashank Arora.

8. Maja Maa (Hindi)

One of the most gorgeous actresses Madhuri Dixit Nene stars in this comedy genre movie which is about a loving mother who unwittingly becomes a hurdle to her son’s marriage plans. It will be directed by Anand Tiwari.

9. Ram Setu (Hindi)

This long-delayed Bollywood film ‘Ram Setu’ named after the limestone shoals connecting India and Sri Lanka, stars Akshay Kumar as an archaeologist. An atheist-turned-believer, he must race against time to prove the true existence of the mythical Ram Setu bridge before evil forces destroy the pillar of India’s heritage.

This movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha and will be available on the streaming platform soon. 

10. This is AP Dhillon (Punjabi/English)

A talented Punjabi hip-hop star AP Dhillon rose to stardom recently. this all-access reality documentary follows Dhillon’s meteoric rise to stardom and takes viewers behind the scenes of his musical journey.
