Francis Ngannou is one of the biggest hitters in the UFC

UFC star Francis Ngannou is one of the stars in the heavyweight division of the promotion.

The 33-year-old is yet to lift the Heavyweight title, however, he did fight Stipe Miocic for it at UFC 220.

The French-Cameroonian is also one of the hardest hitters in the game, and that was highlighted in a throwback video.

Ngannou was practising with a partner, and it seemed to be an odd match right from the start. The UFC star is a towering figure while his partner was shorter and leaner than the fighter.

Ngannou initially seemed reluctant to land a kick with his partner holding gear. However, when the 33-year-old decided to unload, he almost sent the trainer out of the gym.

The trainer also took a hint and decided to walk out and not have another shot at Ngannou’s kick. His partners certainly enjoyed the kick, and it seems that Ngannou did too.

Ngannou will be training hard now and preparing his kicks as the UFC has big plans for him.

Ready for UFC 9 May?

The 33-year-old was to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik on 28 March, but that fight was postponed to UFC 249 due to the coronavirus.

UFC 249 was then cancelled by Disney and ESPN, but Dana White has confirmed that there will be a UFC event on 9 May.

Ngannou vs Rozenstruik is one of the big clashes on that card. However, there are three title bouts also set for UFC 9 May.

It will be interesting to see how Ngannou does, but if he is to win against Rozenstruik, the 33-year-old will be thinking of another title shot.

He wants to face Miocic for the bout, but the champion has been recovering after undergoing eye surgery recently.
