Stephen Thompson is keen for a title shot but proved he was the nicest MMA star, again, against Geoff Neal
Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal served the final main event of this UFC year. 2020 has been tough on the promotion with the fans not being allowed inside arenas, which hurt the finances.
However, after a couple of months of no events, the UFC got back going and knocked multiple quality shows with barely time to breathe.
The final UFC event of the year saw Thompson put on a clinic against Neal, even though his right knee got injured in the fourth round.
However, Thompson is known as the ‘Nicest Mother F*****’ on the planet, and he was more than happy to showcase that in the Octagon.
Thompson and Neal touched gloves several times during the fight and one incident caught a lot of attention with Wonderboy waiting for Neal to put his mouthpiece back in after it fell off.
He didn’t even wait for the referee to come in and didn’t move from his position in the clinch.
Knowing the feeling for Neal
Thompson also took some time to check on Neal during mid fight, and this was done throughout the five-round main event.
Thompson dominated his younger opponent and has his eyes for the UFC Welterweight title. However, Wonderboy also had a moment of respect for Neal at the end of their battle.
Neal was glad that Thompson accepted the fight and was able to put on a good show. However, the 37-year-old Wonderboy was more than happy to help out and even claimed that he was in this position a while back.
Thompson spoke about wanting to fight Jorge Masvidal next, despite already having a win over Gamebred.
Wonderboy also wants to win the Welterweight title in 2021 and it will be interesting to see how the nicest MMA star in the world does.
