UFC Vegas 38 was headlined by Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker, take a look at their reaction after the bout
Thiago Santos went up against Johnny Walker at the UFC Vegas 38. The match was a five round main event in the light heavyweight division. The match was evenly fought and both fighters also had their moments of dominance.
However, Santos was able to get his hand raised in the end after winning via unanimous decision 48-47. Both fighters took to Twitter afterwards to share their reaction on the fight.
“I can’t explain how happy I am to have my hands up again. God is good all the time, just believe and keep working hard guys, never give up. Thank you all”
Santos was seemingly very happy to finally get his hands raised. He was also desperately looking for a win after loosing three consecutive fights.
How did Johnny Walker react?
Walker was very classy in defeat and took some positives from his loss to Santos. Santos was also probably Walker’s toughest challenged yet, although Walker couldn’t take home the victory it will give him a chance to improve and come back stronger. Walker said:
“The result don’t come but I’m very happy, 5 rounds , against top 5 , and i get so much experience and I learn and feel it , so let’s go , keep working , thank @danawhite @ufc for the opportunity, God bless you all”
Walker is aware that he needs to go back to the drawing board and come back stronger. It was later revealed that Walker was taken to the hospital to get x-ray of his foot. Further details on the situation are yet to be known.
