Dustin Poirier destroyed the right leg of Conor McGregor at UFC 257

There were some concerns for Conor McGregor after his leg was demolished by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.

Poirier used several calf kicks to compromise McGregor’s movement in the main event. The Diamond then went in for the kill and got a knock out in the second round.

However, the extent of damage to McGregor’s leg was there for all to see after the fight. The Irishman was hobbling about and even joked it might have been broken.

Thankfully, nothing of that sort happened. McGregor was back running about and doing activities a few days later. He also spoke about how many kicks he received in that fight but added that he was back to normal.

McGregor also recently shared some photos of the leg, and all seems fine. He was promoting some pain relief products and the right leg was back to normal.

McGregor’s coach also had spoken about the damage but had confirmed that nothing serious had happened, and the Irishman is already waiting for his next fight.

Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 in the works

While Poirier is keen on winning the belt, it seems that McGregor will be his next opponent again.

The Diamond also tweeted the same recently and suggested the third fight would be on. However, neither McGregor nor Poirier have confirmed when they want to fight next.

The pair have taken some time off to enjoy vacations and they deserve it too. Poirier vs McGregor is tied at 1-1 and the third fight should be a blockbuster PPV for the UFC.

However, the big question is if this will be for the title or not. Charles Oliveira is undefeated in his last eight fights and believes he should be fighting for the belt too.

The UFC has to make some big decisions regarding this and only time will tell what is on Dana White’s mind.

McGregor also recently spoke about learning from his mistakes at UFC 257. That could be a sign of things to come as he looks to get the series win over Poirier.
