“Feminine Chin” – Twitterati blast Luke Rockhold for “feminine shins” comment on Chris Weidman

Luke Rockhold made some insensitive comments about the recent ‘Chris Weidman leg break’

Chris Weidman suffered a nightmarish injury at UFC 261. Hardly 20 seconds into his fight against Uriah Hall at UFC 261, the ‘All American’ snapped his leg when he attempted a vicious calf kick.

He went crashing down to the canvas once his foot landed, with his right leg looking completely rubbery. Weidman was rushed to the hospital immediately, and was operated the next day.

He has been recovering gradually now. But, it will be a while before we get to see Weidman inside the Octagon.

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold shared his thoughts on Weidman’s injury in a recent interview with the Schmo. While he did feel for him, he went quite overboard with some insensitive comments.

Rockhold accused Weidman of having ‘feminine shins’, which in itself was a sexist comment:

“I wish him all the best. You know, that’s a tough one. I don’t know what it’s like to have those little feminine shins, you know? I don’t know. Because I broke mine first kick of the fight. But somehow it didn’t break.” [via MMA Mania]

And hence, Rockhold had to face the wrath of the Twitterati:

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There was absolutely no one in the reply section, who tweeted in support of Rockhold.

A prime Chris Weidman lost to Luke Rockhold in 2015

Weidman was unstoppable during the early 2010s and mid 2010s. He won the middleweight championship against the legendary Anderson Silva in July 2013.

He then defended it thrice, before coming up against Rockhold in December 2015.

Rockhold won the fight via. TKO in the fourth round, to end the All American’s reign as the middleweight king.

However, Rockhold would go on to lose the middleweight title in the very next fight, against Michael Bisping at UFC 199.
