Jon Jones wants to win the UFC Heavyweight title and is bulking up by increasing his weight as he provided an update

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is working hard to increase his weight and provided an update.

Jones is considered as one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time. He didn’t lose a single battle as the champion but was stripped of the title after testing positive for drugs.

Nevertheless, Jones is now keen on winning the Heavyweight title. He wants to become a two-division champion and has Stipe Miocic in his sights.

There is one problem though. Jones has to bulk up to cross the 205 pound weight limit that the Light Heavyweight division had.

The UFC has a max weight limit of 265 pounds and Jones is closing in on that. He posted an update saying he was 250 pounds or was close to achieving that goal.

This would be something special though as Miocic often weighs 245 pounds and Jones is adding bulk and muscle to ensure he stays on top of the champion.

Double champion time?

The UFC has seen its fair share of double champions with Amanda Nunes and Henry Cejudo holding two titles most recently.

While Nunes is still a double champion, Cejudo retired from the sport last year. Jones, for his part, could do something special and it is to be seen when he gets a crack at Miocic.

Miocic vs Francis Ngannou is the fight that could take place first. Ngannou has been incredible since his loss to Miocic and would want to revisit his first clash against the champion.

The French-Cameroon star lost that first title shot but he has been on another level since then. Miocic, for his part, is coming off a huge win over Daniel Cormier.

This was the third battle in their rivalry and the loss for DC saw him retired from the UFC.
