Joe Rogan sat down with Conor McGregor following the latter’s loss in one of the most ‘Notorious’ UFC interviews of all time

Conor McGregor had a night to forget at UFC 264 (against Dustin Poirier) after he suffered a brutal ankle at the end of the first round.

‘Mystic Mac’ was declared unfit to continue, and Poirier was awarded the fight via. TKO (due to a doctor stoppage).

As is customary, UFC commentator Joe Rogan interviewed McGregor right after his loss, even as The Irishman fumed and spewed out words of hatred in hysteria.

McGregor stated that he was in control of the fight, before going to take shots at Poirier’s wife Jolie.

His verbal attacks were extremely personal and struck a wrong nerve amongst the MMA community.

A lot of questions were directed towards Rogan as well, as to why he interviewed ‘The Notorious’ in such a ‘turmoil’-esque situation.

However, Rogan explained in the recent episode of his podcast, why he decided to interview McGregor. The famed commentator revealed that it was McGregor who had asked him for an interview. And that was when Rogan decided to go all in.

Rogan was quoted as saying:

“People are like, ‘Why’d you interview him?’ He actually brought me over. He goes ‘come over here lad, let’s have a podcast’. Conor said, ‘come on Joe let’s have a f**king podcast’. He asked me to sit down next to him. I was like, ‘How am I gonna do this. I feel like I should just get something out of him.’ Even if you recognize the fact that he is emotionally charged up then, this is just him expressing himself while he was emotionally charged up.”

Conor McGregor brings up Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie in a series of deleted tweets

Earlier today, Conor McGregor once again brought up Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie in a series of tweets.

Replying to a fake account of Jolie Poirier, whose tweet read: “I love you daddy,” McGregor wrote:

“Stay out of my dm’s butch.”

He had also claimed that his loss at UFC 264 was not a “real loss”:

“Jumping a guillotine is not a takedown. Absorbing the kick into the leg is not a check. A doctor stoppage is not a TKO. The game goes on bitches. Piss ants to me yous all are. Not even peasants. Piss ants! Now get to your stationed vlogger cameras you novice bums!”
