Jessica Eye received a nasty cut on her head during her fight against Jennifer Maia at UFC 264

Jessica Eye put on a tough-as-nails performance against Jennifer Maia during her fight against the Brazilian at the recently concluded UFC 264.

Eye went down fighting, as she lost the fight via. unanimous decision.

However, there was something that kept bothering Eye and her corner during the match. She received a nasty gash on her forehead that kept bleeding over and over again.

Eye bled all over herself and on Maia as well. Following the match, it was revealed that she had to receive a whopping 13 stitches for the cut.

A day after the fight, UFC President Dana White revealed a photo of Eye’s nasty cut stitched up. He had also praised her toughness and never-say-die attitude inside the Octagon.

Earlier today, Eye provided an update on Twitter posting a GIF of her stitched up forehead, claiming that she has been “healing great.”

She wrote:

“Like wolvering I am healing great.”

Jessica Eye has had a poor run of form

Following her loss to Maia, Eye has now lost three fights in a row. She had previously lost to Joanne Calderwood and Cynthia Calvillo, although all were unanimous decision losses.

Eye’s last win came against Viviane Araujo at UFC 245 on the 14th of December, 2019.

Things started going downhill for Eye after a devastating KO loss against Women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 238.

Since that night at UFC 238, she has won just one of her last four fights. Eye’s MMA record currently stands at 15 wins and 10 losses with 1 no-contest.
