Jamahal Hill is set to take on Paul Craig at UFC 263

Jamahal Hill will feature in the first fight of the main card at UFC 263. He will be taking on Paul Craig of Scotland in a light-heavyweight bout.

The unbeaten American is currently 8-0 in his MMA career, and 2-0 in the UFC. His last win was against veteran light-heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux in December, last year.

Hill is being considered to be the next big thing in the light-heavyweight division, and ‘Sweet Dreams’ seems to be living up to the hype.

There have been comparisons of Hill and a young Jon Jones. Although Jones disagreed with the comparison, he did acknowledge Hill’s talent and skillset.

In a recent interview with the Schmo following his weigh-ins at UFC 263, Hill revealed that he wanted to face number 2 ranked Czech light-heavyweight Jiri Prochazka.

Hill told the Schmo:

“I want Jiri. I think Jiri Prochazka will be a good fight. He’s only had two fights in the UFC. After I go ahead and finish Paul [Craig], that is twice as many finishes, twice as many fights, twice as many dubs. Why not, let’s make it happen!”

Jiri Prochazka is already number 2 in the light-heavyweight division

Prochazka made his UFC debut only last year. He took on Volkan Oezdemir on his debut at UFC 251. He knocked out the Swiss in the second round, putting the LHW division on high-alert.

He did the same recently against Dominick Reyes, devastating the American with a spinning back elbow KO in the second round.

And after just two wins, he broke into the top 5 of the LHW rankings, and is ranked number 2. He might get a title shot once the title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira is completed.
