Former US President Donald Trump has been of great help to the UFC during his tenure as the president

UFC 264: Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 is fast approaching. The event will take place on the 10th of July at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The card is probably one of the most stacked cards of the year due to the very presence of McGregor vs Poirier at the top.

In the co-main event, Stephen Wonderboy Thompson and Gilbert Burns will be squaring off in a crucial welterweight bout that might even see the victor facing the welterweight champ Kamaru Usman.

Sean O’Malley will be kicking off the proceedings in the main card, as the rising bantamweight will be taking on Kris Moutinho who took the fight on short notice.

Several high-profile celebrities are set to be in attendance for the event. Speaking to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN, UFC President Dana White confirmed that former US President Donald Trump will be in attendance.

White also named several other celebrities – Canadian singer Justin Bieber, Basketball star Kevin Durant, NFL star Odell Beckham Jr and Hollywood celebrities like Megan Fox, Dave Chappelle and others.

Bronsteter’s tweet read:

“45th U.S. President Donald Trump will be in attendance for UFC 264 this weekend per Dana White. As will Justin Bieber, Dave Chappelle, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr., Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Mel Gibson, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker and many others.”

Dana White and Donald Trump’s friendship dates back to 2001

Dana White has personally known Donald Trump since 2001, back when Trump was a business tycoon. White, on the other hand, had just started out with expanding the UFC.

Ever since then White has been a massive supporter of Trump’s ideas, and very vocally expressed his support of the President in 2020 as a part of the Trump re-election campaign.

Trump for his part, has from time to time expressed his admiration and respect for the UFC president.

However, Trump’s reign came to an end in 2020, after he was defeated by Joe Biden.
