The first fight of the UFC 268 main card – Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler delivered as expected

Dubbed the “People’s Fight”, Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler was an absolute barn burner. The two lightweights kicked off the stacked UFC 268 main card, and it looked like the fight might end any moment right from the sound of the first-round bell.

Chandler began the fight with a barrage of quick strikes almost knocking Gaethje down. However, ‘The Highlight’ weathered the storm early on, and bounced back once ‘Iron Mike’ began slowing down.

The second round totally belonged to Gaethje. The former WSOF champion knocked Chandler down, almost securing the finish. This time it was Chandler’s turn to weather the storm.

Although, Chandler began the third round strongly, Gaethje picked up pace in the second half, and did just what was necessary to lock the W.

The scores read – 29-28, 29-28, 30-27 in favour of Gaethje.
