Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor trending was brought up over the return of Khabib Nurmagomedov into the UFC
Dana White is trying every trick in the book to get Khabib Nurmagomedov to return to the UFC.
While Khabib has stated that he could return if someone impresses him at UFC 257, it seems more likely that he isn’t coming back for his 30th MMA fight.
Khabib is undefeated in his MMA career and that 30th fight has to be something special. However, White has been badgering the UFC legend and tried some tricks of his again.
The pair were seated at Fight Island ahead of UFC 257. White told Khabib that the Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor rematch was trending more than the Khabib vs McGregor fight.
He then went on to say that a Khabib vs McGregor rematch could be bigger than that, if the Russian made his return.
Khabib was seen smiling away while White still tried his best to get the Russian roped in.
An incredible fight in the making
Poirier vs McGregor 2 has all the ingredients of being an incredible clash. The winner should get a shot at Khabib’s Lightweight title and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in all this.
This fight is trending for all the right reasons but White is right in suggesting that McGregor vs Khabib 2 would also be a huge hit.
Khabib got the win over McGregor after a long battle. There were a lot of things said before the fight and this battle spilled out into the crowd after McGregor submitted.
Both stars had to pay hefty fines and were suspended by the UFC too. However, things have cooled down a bit between them as McGregor paid respects after Khabib’s father passed away in 2020.
