Conor McGregor Laments Team’s Losses as Michael Chandler’s Dominance Continues on The Ultimate Fighter

Conor McGregor expressed his dissatisfaction with the fight structure on The Ultimate Fighter as his team suffered yet another defeat this week. Michael Chandler’s team has taken a commanding 4-0 lead over Team McGregor on the latest season of the popular UFC television show. Two of McGregor’s fighters were stopped, while the other two lost on points.

In Episode 4, Trevor Wells fell short against UFC veteran Timur Valiev, losing by unanimous decision over two rounds. McGregor voiced his frustrations over the absence of a third round, saying, “It was a good fight, Trevor put on a great match against him. They should do three rounds if it’s close. Or if they’re just 10-9s that have been eked out, there should be a third round. It’s very tough if it doesn’t go your way.”

The former UFC champion didn’t hold back in showing his support for Wells, telling him after the fight, “Trevor, that was a phenomenal fight, [it] deserved a third round. Very good, you’ve done yourself proud. Great work.”

On the other hand, Chandler had a different perspective, stating, “I understand what Conor’s saying. If I were in his shoes, I would probably think the fight was closer than it actually was. But to me and obviously to the judges, we know we won those two rounds. We’re gonna keep stacking up these wins.”

Wells received a warm welcome from his fellow Team McGregor members in the locker room, as they have all experienced losses this season. “You fit in with the crew now,” Aaron McKenzie told Wells, who had suffered a points defeat by Austin Hubbard the previous week.

In addition to the challenges faced on The Ultimate Fighter, McGregor has also been dealing with allegations of sexual assault at a Miami Heat game earlier this month. McGregor firmly denied the accusations, and his lawyer released a statement asserting their falseness. Investigations are currently underway by the NBA and Miami Heat regarding the allegations.

As Michael Chandler’s team continues to dominate, McGregor and his fighters face an uphill battle to turn the tide. Will they be able to make a comeback and close the gap in the competition, or will Chandler’s team maintain their dominance? The intensity is escalating, and fight fans are eagerly watching to see how the drama unfolds on The Ultimate Fighter.

Michael Chandler Voices Frustration Over Conor McGregor’s USADA Situation

Michael Chandler is growing increasingly impatient with Conor McGregor’s ongoing USADA predicament. As the coaches of Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” both fighters are expected to clash in a much-anticipated showdown by the year’s end. However, McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) has yet to fulfill the mandatory requirement of re-entering the USADA testing pool for former champions before he can compete.

While UFC president Dana White previously expressed his belief that McGregor would return to the octagon before the year concludes, recent allegations of sexual assault and rape following Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami have cast a shadow of doubt on his anticipated comeback.

For Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC), who is set to share the cage with McGregor, these recent developments have left him feeling uncertain about the situation. In a Twitter video, Chandler voiced his frustration, saying, “Alright guys, you guys have all seen the news: Conor’s not in USADA. One hundred and seventy-nine days left until December 16, which is supposed to be the last pay-per-view of the year. And comically, USADA shows up at my door today to add insult to injury. Where you at, boy?”

Chandler’s peers have taken note of the situation, with Arman Tsarukyan calling him out after his victory at UFC on ESPN 46. During the post-fight news conference, Tsarukyan remarked, “It looks like his fight with McGregor is over.”

The USADA online testing database indicates that McGregor has yet to submit a sample in 2023. Meanwhile, Chandler’s name appears once under the second quarter period, possibly unrelated to the visit he received from USADA today.

As fans eagerly await a resolution to this USADA standoff, Chandler’s frustration with McGregor’s absence from the testing pool only intensifies. Will McGregor step up and face his formidable opponent, or will the anticipated showdown fall through? The clock is ticking, and fight fans are anxiously watching to see what unfolds.
