Ben Askren trolled Jorge Masvidal after the latter’s devastating KO loss against Kamaru Usman at UFC 261

Masvidal was knocked out for the first time in his UFC career, as a massive right hand from Usman rendered him motionless in only the second round of their title bout at UFC 261.

Gamebred, however, took the loss like a champion, giving props to Usman for being able to knock him out – something that nobody in the UFC ever came close to.

Elsewhere, Masvidal’s old rival Ben Askren who himself is coming off a horrendous knockout defeat against YouTube sensation Jake Paul, took a shot at Gamebred.

Now, Masvidal and Askren’s rivalry dates back to July 2019. Askren had never been defeated in an MMA fight before stepping into the octagon at UFC 239.

However, Just 5 seconds into the fight, Masvidal knocked Askren out cold, which eventually became the fastest knockout in UFC history. The knockout is considered by many as the greatest ever in the history of MMA.

Askren then took on Demian Maia, lost to him as well, and eventually announced his retirement. And only a fortnight ago, he took on YouTuber Jake Paul in his pro-boxing debut, only to be knocked out in the first round.

More recently, Askren took to Instagram to promote Eagle Moon hemp gummies which make people fall asleep quickly. However, Funky saw this as an opportunity to troll Masvidal, as he claimed that the gummies would make one as sleepy as Masvidal last weekend.

Khamzat Chimaev wants Jorge Masvidal

UFC’s 2020 breakout star Khamzat Chimaev has been reeling due to the lingering effects of the coronavirus he contracted ages ago. After making his UFC debut in mid-2020, he went 3-0 up in no time.

Chimaev was then scheduled to take on top ranked welterweight Leon Edwards. That was when all the trouble began, as coronavirus got the better of him.

The disease almost sent him to the point of pushing him towards retirement, which he did at one stage. However, he has been on a recovery-arc and is expected to compete soon.

In the wake of this Chimaev has called Masivdal out for a fight.

Taking to Twitter, ‘The Borz’ wrote he would fight Gamebred in August, while also tagging UFC President Dana White.

Sounds like a good fight to make, as Masvidal is ranked somewhere closer to Leon Edwards, Chimaev’s original opponent.
