Ali Abdelaziz believes former UFC Fighter Henry Cejudo will be a bad matchup for current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski

Alexander Volkanovski is all the rage in the UFC right now. The Australian earned a stunning unanimous decision victory in the main event of UFC 266, after seeing off the tough-as-nails Brian Ortega.

The wild fight saw Volkanovski evade everything Ortega had to throw at him in the third round. It is certain to get the Round of the Year.

The Ortega win was Volk’s second successive title defense, after having won the title against Max Holloway and defending it against ‘Blessed’ himself in a rematch.

Following the fight, Volkanovski called out Conor McGregor who had talked smacked about him, on Twitter.

And more recently, Volkanovski has got the attention of Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz.

UFC President Dana White was asked about retired UFC fighter Henry Cejudo.

Addressing suggestions about ‘Triple C’ fighting Volkanovski, White claimed that it was improbable for such a thing to happen with Max Holloway and other top-ranked featherweights waiting to grab the belt.

However, Ali Abdelaziz, Cejudo’s promoter thought otherwise. He subtly urged White to set up a fight between Cejudo and Volkanovski while also adding that ‘Triple C’ would ease past the Australian.

Here is what Abdelaziz wrote on Twitter:

@danawhite is a great promoter , great promoter put on great fights @HenryCejudo vs Alexander Volkanovski is big fight . Henry will beat him fair and square . It’s a bad matchup for the champ . Much respect fro him.”
