The TwitchCon 2022 San Diego was amazing but a disaster for some streamers. Here are all the big highlights that you must know.

TwitchCon was established on September 25, 2015, and has continued to grow ever since. TwitchCon is held twice a year, once in Europe and once in North America. A virtual convention, GlitchCon 2020, was introduced in place of TwitchCon, which did not happen during the pandemic. Over 425 content creators attended GlitchCon 2020, a 12-hour virtual convention.

The TwitchCon 2022 was live a few days ago and there have been lots of things that you might have missed. So here are all the highlights and best moments of TwitchCon 2022 that you should take a look at.

TwitchCon 2022 Highlights and Best Moments

Disguised Toast

At TwitchCon’s partner lounge, Disguised Toast speaks of other content creators approaching and interacting with him. At the podcast’s 50-minute mark, the former Facebook Gaming streamer asked the other podcast hosts about their experiences at TwitchCon’s exclusive partner lounge. Scarra and Brodin Plett both confirmed they had been there.

According to Jeremy, certain well-known Twitch streamers received badges with a “star” to signify their status as well-liked individuals on the live-streaming network.

In his second speech at the streamer convention, Disguised Toast discussed partner lounges. It was his claim that other content creators often approached top streamers in the non-exclusive partner lounge. According to Twitch sensation, other streamers often approached him as an equal when he was in the lounge, receiving more attention from them.

After Disguised Toast questioned the reason for Twitch’s decision to add a star emblem to the streamers’ TwitchCon badges, Toast said that the food served in the exclusive partner lounge was much better.

Valkyrie attracts the crowd

Although she has an exclusive YouTube contract, Valkyrie is still able to attend Twitch conventions like the current TwitchCon 2022 San Diego fan convention. Consequently, she attended TwitchCon with YouTube streamer Sykkuno. In the video that went viral later, it was seen that the ‘meet-and-greet’ area of Disguised Toast was surrounded by a huge crowd of fans. Toast also showed up to pick Rae up from that area and subsequently revealed that the YouTube streamer had the largest fan base at a Twitch event.

Zummmers injured

Streamer Zummmers informed TwitchCon 2022 San Diego fans of her recent injury. According to Zummmers, it has been an overwhelming 48 hours and she is now resting at home. She expressed her gratitude to those who wished her a speedy recovery. Zummmers also revealed that she had broken her ankle in all three possible ways and does not go down quietly.

An IRL Twitch Rivals event called the Balloon World Cup was held at TwitchCon 2022 San Diego on October 8. Several Twitch streamers competed in a balloon-chasing contest at the event. The former did her best to keep the balloon from falling during a two-minute match between Twitch streamers Zummmers and GuhRL.

The streamer accidentally hit her right ankle and Zummmers fell to the ground. Upon closer inspection, Zummmers’ ankle was clearly injured, and she was visibly in pain. She called the referee, and the referee observed that the streamer had hurt her right ankle. The balloon chase round ended shortly afterward.

Adriana Chechik breaks her back

A few hours ago, Twitch streamer and adult star Adriana Chechik confirmed that she had suffered multiple back injuries. During the Face Off challenge at this weekend’s San Diego TwitchCon 2022, the content creator made a poor landing. A foam pit at the convention did little to soften the landing of the streamer after she jumped into it voluntarily.

She ended up needing surgery later today since her injuries were so serious. As a result of the incident, many have questioned the event’s planners, with many asking on social media why the foam did not do a good enough job of breaking her fall.

Dr Disrespect shows up at TwitchCon San Diego

A streamer known as DrThicccrespect is the first impersonator to make waves at the IRL Twitch event. As a self-described three-time back-to-back karaoke champion, the streamer showed up at the event to dominate Twitch. MeesterKeem spotted another Dr Disrespect clone as he walked through the convention center.

It was difficult to tell that the cosplayer wasn’t the real Doctor when approaching the tall slender figure of the two-time video game champion. We can assume these aren’t the only Dr Disrespect clones attending TwitchCon San Diego, and we will likely learn more as the event continues. Click here to watch the video.

Megan Thee Stallion performance with Halo’s Master Chief

At the San Diego concert on Saturday, October 8, the fictional protagonist of the Halo series appeared on stage and danced with Megan to the song “Freak Nasty.”
