The Brisbane Bullets, who returned to the NBL for the 2016–17 season after an eight-year absence, offered Craig a two-year contract. On October 6, he played in his first game for the Bullets, tallying a team-high 16 points in a 72-65 victory over the Perth Wildcats. Two days later, in a 77-73 victory over the Sydney Kings, he grabbed 17 rebounds.

In order to take part in the NBA Summer League with the Denver Nuggets, Craig came back to the country in June 2017. On July 19, 2017, he committed to a two-way contract with the Nuggets.
