The UFC is home to some of the top MMA athletes in the world and here are the 5 fastest submission wins in the history of the promotion

The UFC has seen several big fights take place over the years with some incredible performances and knockouts.

However, getting a win via submission is also something special that gets a lot of fans on their feet. This is something that makes MMA different from boxing or other combat sports. The art of a submission has been developed and nurtured over the years but it often takes time to unlock a fighter’s defence and lock them in for the win.

However, some submission wins have come quicker than expected and here are five of the fastest wins via submission in the UFC.

5) Dennis Hallman vs Matt Hughes – 0:20

Dennis Hallman starts off this list with the fifth fastest submission in the history of the UFC.

While the 45-year-old has stopped fighting in the Octagon, he does have one decent record, or a part of it.

The American defeated Matt Hughes via an armbar back at UFC 29 and did it in just 20 seconds.

He has several other wins in under a minute but this one will remain long in the memory of others.

Hallman finished his fighting career at KOTC and held a record of 53 wins, 20 losses, two draws and one no contest.
