WrestleMania week is here, but every match might not create the same level of excitement – Let’s look at the top 5 disappointing WrestleMania Matches of All Time

WrestleMania has given us some of the greatest moments ever. However, some matches didn’t impress the fans much. The Grandest Stage of Them All is no exception. As it gave us some of the most iconic matches ever, some of the matches failed miserably. Here’s a look at the five most disappointing WrestleMania Matches of all time.

1. The Rock vs John Cena – WrestleMania 29

Their first encounter was tagged as a “Once in a Lifetime” match by WWE and promised as a never-before-never-again clash between John Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 28.

The match was electric and had a conclusion that many people couldn’t guess. But, when the next time these two heavyweights clashed, the result was entirely predictable. It was quite an easy decision that Royal Rumble winner John Cena would eventually beat The Rock and give this feud a perfect ending. But unfortunately, it didn’t turn out to go so well.

2. Triple H vs Booker T, WrestleMania XIX

It was one of the worst build feuds, which saw Triple H taking on Booker T . The match certainly didn’t impress the fans as it didn’t allow anything to be cut loose. As a result, it lacks the fire needed for a WrestleMania match.

Ric Flair was also present, which caused the distraction. The worst part was the result of the match when Hunter won the game ruining Booker T’s drive. It never got anything best out of it.

3. Shinsuke Nakamura vs AJ Styles – WrestleMania 34

Shinsuke Nakamura won the 2018 Royal Rumble match and went after the WWE Championship title against AJ Styles. Fans were delighted that former Rivals were going against each other at the Grandest Stage of All.

It was a good match but not a great one. The expectations from this match were too high, and it couldn’t live up to the fact. Even a shock heel turn was not enough to make the game a big hit.

4. Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy at WrestleMania 25

The Hardy Boyz grew together and spent many years as partners. They certainly know how to pull off a great match. However, they didn’t impress the fans much with too many weapons and no actual wrestling.

It went into a bizarre ugly brawl. The blood feud turned out to be a disappointing one. The match turned out to be a typical ECW match. However, with the experience these two bring to the table and having grown together for so many years, the fans expected it to be much more of a thrilling experience.

5. The Undertaker vs John Cena at WrestleMania 34

This was one of the biggest dream matches that WWE could have produced with more excitement and chills. As two of the greats, The Undertaker and John Cena collided for the first time at WrestleMania.

WWE did some excellent building for the match with epic promo shoots from Cena, but his opponent remained absent. The Deadman showed up directly at the Mania to have the bout without prior interaction with his opponent.

Fans had high hopes for this epic encounter, but it gave the least enthusiastic and lousy end. The Phenom speedily ended the bout and beat Cena only to walkaway. This match remains one of the most disappointing matches ever.
