Toni Kukoč Career

Toni Kukoč was the 1990, Round 2, 29th overall draft pick by the Chicago Bulls. Kukoč played in the position of Small forward / Power forward and is a three-time NBA champion (1996, 1997, 1998).  

Kukoč began playing for his hometown club, KK Jugoplastika, at the age of 17. He achieved significant success, winning the prestigious EuroLeague for three consecutive years (1989, 1990, 1991).

Afterwards, Kukoč played for Benetton Treviso and won the Italian League championship in 1992 and the Italian Cup in 1993.

Then, on November 5, 1993, Kukoč made his NBA debut. Kukoč had a solid NBA rookie season, averaging double-digit scoring and earning a berth on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

Then, from 1996 to 1998, Kukoč went on to win three NBA championships. He belonged to the legendary Bulls team which has Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman.

Furthermore, during the 1999–2000 season, Kukoč was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Next, in 2001, Kukoč was traded to the Atlanta Hawks. Next, after a short stint with the Hawks, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2002.

Finally, on September 12, 2006, Kukoč announced that he would retire from professional basketball.

Notably, Kukoč was also on the senior men’s Yugoslavian national team that got the silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul.

Kukoč went on to win a silver medal, representing Croatia, at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games, in Barcelona.

Kukoč also won gold at the 1990 Argentina World Cup (representing Yugoslavia). He also won bronze at the 1994 Canada World Cup (representing Croatia).
