After three weeks of action, the basketball season is beginning to heat up with plenty of matchups to look out for this weekend.

As the season continues to progress, make sure to keep updated with all the latest NBA statistics, injury news and via the Flashscore app and website.

But where should your attention be in the NBA this weekend?

Detroit Pistons vs Boston Celtics

Runners-up to the Golden State Warriors last season, Boston Celtics are once again operating at the right end of the Eastern Conference this term and will be looking to extend their good start against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.

Coming into the match on the back of Friday’s clash with the Denver Nuggets, the Celtics trave to Colorado eyeing up another victory in the regular season.

Injuries to Danilo Gallinari and Robert Williams could cause the Celtics a headache, but it’s expected the Boston-based side will get one over on the Eastern Conference’s bottom-placed side.

Four of the last five meetings have gone in the Celtic’s favour, with Saturday’s clash likely to follow in the same way.

Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors

It hasn’t been the start to the 2022/23 season the reigning champions would’ve wanted, with the Golden State Warriors struggling to hit top form so far.

Having started the season in patchy form, failing to win back-to-back games in their first five outings, the Warriors suffered a five-game losing streak during matchday six through 10.

That run ended with a victory against the Sacramento Kings last week, with another matchup against the Californian-based outfit next weekend.

Typically, the Warriors have a strong record against the Kings, winning seven of their last eight meetings, with the side from the Golden State no doubt looking to extend that run on Sunday.

Washington Wizards vs Utah Jazz

Two teams from opposite sides of the country, a cross-conference matchup between the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz stands out in the schedule this weekend.

Boasting 10 wins from 13 matches so far this season, the Jazz have started on fire and will be looking to make the playoffs, having done so in the previous six campaigns.

As for the Wizards they missed out on a playoff berth last season and despite currently residing inside the top-10, haven’t entirely convinced in their outings so far.

Confidence for the Wizards can be taken from their positive head-to-head record, as the D.C. side have triumphed in three of the pair’s last four meetings.
