Three ideal destinations for Michy Batshuayi after Valencia

According to reports by BBC, Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi’s loan deal at Valencia is going to be terminated. The Belgian international is set to return to the Stamford Bridge after failing to make an impact in La Liga.

After being signed in the summer of 2016, Batshuayi has struggled to cement his place in the Chelsea team. After making an impact on a short loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, the 25-year-old was being considered for a place in the Chelsea squad but was sent on loan instead to Valencia.

It seems like the Belgian is not up to the mark to lead the line at Stamford Bridge yet and should be looking elsewhere for regular football. Given his availability, a lot of clubs should take notice.

Here are three ideal clubs that should go for the signature of the 25-year-old.

Everton

Marco Silva is in dire need of a quality striker up front to lead the attack for Everton. Both Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse have been wasteful at times and have lacked the sharpness in front of the goal. The Belgian could prove to be the striker that Evertonians need right now.

Silva needs to add a striker but they need to make room for his arrival first. Offloading either Tosun or Niasse in this transfer window could help fund the move for the 25-year-old.

Borussia Dortmund

Michy Batshuayi

After making an instant impact for the Bundesliga team in a short loan spell, it was surprising that Dortmund did not make the move permanent. The only explanation could be the high asking price set by Chelsea after the striker impressed at the German club.

Dortmund are short in the forward department and have failed to replace their talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ever since he left for Arsenal. Batshuayi was signed as a short-term replacement for the outgoing striker and he made an impact right from the first match scoring two goals and providing one assist. He was well suited to the system and coach Lucien Favre should bring in the Belgian to lead the line for the Yellow Brigade.

Newcastle United

It is unlikely that Magpies could manage to sign him given the lack of financial support offered by the club owner. But a loan deal is a possibility that Rafa Benitez should be looking at to save the season for the Magpies.

The team is short of quality up front and have struggled to make things work in the opposition box. Given the talent and skills at his disposal, the Belgian striker could prove to be a big difference-maker for a side like Newcastle. Chelsea should ponder the possibility of loaning the striker instead of selling him permanently, given the potential that he has shown at times.
