Euro 2020 is set to begin in June this year, with some of the best teams in Europe prepared to give their all for the coveted prize. The anticipation & excitement is already increasing among fans around the world.

Some of these enthusiastic supporters have already started their betting preparations, looking at and searching for offers that suit their needs best.

1- Spain 4 Italy 0 (2012)

Spain had an opportunity to become the first team in the history of the European Championship to retain the title. They easily topped their group before confidently heading to the knockouts.

La Roja defeated France and prevailed on penalties against Portugal to make it to the final.

The 2010 World Cup winners reserved their best for the game against Italy, who outclassed England and Germany on their way to the final.

Vicente del Bosque’s side found themselves ahead early through David Silva before Alba also struck to extend the score-line. The Blues failed to respond with a goal and by the time Torres scored, the game had long slipped.

And in the final few minutes, Mata also got on the scoresheet to make it one of the most one-sided finals.

2- Portugal 2 England 2 (2004)

Euro 2004 was seen as a big opportunity for England to win the prestigious tournament. They had players like Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney in their ranks to have a great chance of lifting the coveted trophy.

Sven Goran Eriksson’s side finished second in the table featuring France, Croatia and Switzerland. They headed to the quarter-finals to lock horns with Group A table-toppers Portugal. However, they were left heartbroken at the end of the game in Lisbon.

The Three Lions suffered a blow when Rooney limped off the ground with the team 1-0 in the match.

Helder Postiga popped with a late equalizer to send the game into extra time. Rui Costa struck to put his side in a great position for victory. However, Lampard restored parity and forced penalties.

In the shootout, David Beckham & Darius Vassell missed and thus England’s Euro dreams were shattered.

3- Germany 1 Italy 2 (2012)

Germany looked exceptional at Euro 2012. They easily topped the group after winning all three matches against Portugal, Netherlands, and Denmark.

They also didn’t face much trouble against Greece in the quarter-finals and headed confidently to the semis where they were to clash Italy.

However, Die Mannschaft didn’t have a good record against Italy at a major tournament. They once again struggled against the team who had barely managed to proceed to the knockouts after only a win.

Pirlo, one of the stylish footballers of all time nominated by thefootballreports.com was at his finest. This was the game that saw the best of Mario Balotelli as well. He struck twice in the first half to put his side in a dominant position for victory.

Germany failed to make a comeback and only caused the briefest anxiety for Italy when Ozil scored in injury time. The Blues made it to the Euro final this way.
