Find out all you need to know about new WWE tag team, The Creed Brothers
Julius and Brutus Creed are the fresh faces on NXT who look to make a name for themselves in the WWE. The Creed brothers came live on air for the first time on the August 31st episode of NXT.
The brothers, revealed to be a part of the Diamond Mine and joined Roderick Strong to the ring. Both Julius and Brutus Creed have a rich and successful background in the American Wrestling.
Who Scouted Rhe Creed Brothers?
WWE Hall of Famer Gerry Brisco spotted Jacob Kasper aka Julius Creed in an NCAA tournament in Ohio, US. Kasper fit into the ideal mold of a big chunky wrestler who looked like the real deal. Kasper’s body and his athletic ability made him stand out of the rest and catch the eye of Gerry.
Jacob always had a dream to gain wrestling stardom and this is what fueled his passion for wrestling from a very young age. He placed 5th in the Olympic trials as well. Jacob was a two time All American Wrestler at Duke when offered a developmental deal from the WWE in 2020.
On the other hand Jacob’s younger brother Drew Kasper aka Brutus Creed was an undefeated wrestler and in his senior year went 30-0. He was also No.1 in the NCAA rankings in the United States of America. Just like his older brother he shared the passion for wrestling and they both worked hard to improve each other. Drew was scouted in 2020 and he was signed to a developmental deal to work with WWE in their Performance Center in 2021
The two brothers were moved to Orlando, Florida for their WWE training at the WWE Performance Centre. Their schedule included ring training, strength, conditioning, acting class, film study and much more to help them become the future of the WWE. Just like their wrestling journey they started their WWE journey together as well.
The Creeds make their NXT debut
On the September 7th episode of NXT we finally got to see the brothers in action. September 7th marked their debut in the WWE. They originally showcased on the 31st August episode of NXT and revealed as a part of the Diamond Mine.
The Creed Brothers had their debut match against the Local Competitors. The debutants looked very impressive as they defeated their opponents with complete dominance in the match. The Creed brothers looked aggressive throughout the match. Julius Creed laid down the finishing move a rolling piledriver for the win.
Moreover, they fought their match with a very unorthodox style. They mixed up traditional wrestling with WWE moves bringing back old- school wrestling style back to the ring.
They look like Brock Lesnar in a Tag team together. It can be said that WWE has big plans for them and it will be interesting to see them compete in Raw and SmackDown against major teams.
