Nick Kyrgios is having one of his better seasons as he reached his first-ever Grand Slam final at the Wimbledon Championships and went on to win the Citi Open, which was his first ATP Tour title triumph in three years.
The Australian tennis pro is a huge fan of the Boston Celtics and has often sported their jersey during practice sessions. He is also a Tottenham Hotspur fan and has also worn their jersey at practice.
Kyrgios is currently preparing to face fellow Australian and doubles partner Thanasi Kokkinakis in the opening round of the US Open. They face each other on August 30.
At one of his recent practice sessions, the 27-year-old was spotted wearing an Alexander Volkanovski t-shirt. Volkanovski is the current Featherweight Champion in the UFC. So, we can assume that Kyrgios is also a fan of MMA. The Australian Alexander Volkanovski is also a former Australian Fighting Championship Featherweight Champion.
Kyrgios has never reached beyond the third round at Flushing Meadows. He is coming into the tournament after bowing out of the Cincinnati Masters following a loss to American Taylor Fritz in straight sets.
