1.WWE looking for a “major attraction” match for WrestleMania 38

Shane McMahon was let go by WWE after the significant fall of the Royal Rumble event produced by Shane. There was a lot of heat against him.

According to Wrestlevotes, WWE had planned a Shane McMahon match for WrestleMania 38 in a top spot, and now WWE is looking for a “major attraction” matchup outside of the titles.

It has also been said that the WrestleMania card is still incomplete flux, and it is very excellent. As of now, two matches have been confirmed for WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Source states the spot Shane McMahon was going to have on the WrestleMania card was to be positioned near the top. Therefore, WWE now needs a new “major attraction” matchup outside of the titles. This goes w/o saying, but the WM card is still in complete flux. It’s quite amazing.

2. Jeff Hardy turns down WWE Hall of Fame induction

Last month, Jeff Hardy was released by WWE after an incident where he was sent home from WWE’s live events. It was even reported that WWE offered Hardy help and rehab, but he refused it.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hardy was contacted a few weeks ago by WWE’s Head Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis. He called “to get him back” and offered him a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022. However, Hardy rejected the offer and asked for his drug test results because he knew he wouldn’t test positive for recreational drugs.

It has also been teased that Jeff might be making a move to AEW. Matt Hardy also claimed on his Twitch that Jeff turned down WWE’s Hall of Fame offer primarily because when Jeff asked that Matt would be going with him, they rejected it.

3. Kurt Angle was never in place for WrestleMania

It has been reported by Ringside News that Kurt Angle was never scheduled for the WrestleMania storyline. He was only brought in for the Royal Rumble to do “documentary interviews and such.”

The idea was to bring Angle back to the television, but it was never given the green light. The “three-week program” that Angle mentioned in his podcast was just a pitch, but Vince McMahon never signed off.

“Kurt Angle said that a 3-week WrestleMania angle was nixed for him, but we were told that’s not really the case. There was a pitch, but Vince McMahon never signed off on it. It was never actually booked. Angle was brought in for the Rumble only to do interviews for WWE docs.

This is what Kurt Angle talked on his podcast about the comeback,

“We went to the Rumble, and I also did some documentary interviews a day before [and] a photo op with the fans. But I want to make it clear, I’m not signed with the WWE. They weren’t gonna sign me anyway. It was gonna be a three-week program. It got cancelled,” said Kurt Angle, “but you know my obligation is to the show — the Kurt Angle show, and that’s it.”

4. WWE put restrictions on the language for Micky James

Will Washington on the Fightful Grapsody podcast said that he was told by WWE to put restrictions on the language used for Mickie James “Royal Rumble appearance. They could only say Impact instead of “Impact Wrestling” and couldn’t use the term “Knockouts” to refer to her title.
