Ricard Rubio Vives a.k.a Ricky Rubio was the 2009, Round 1, 5th overall draft pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rubio plays in the position of Point guard and he is also the EuroLeague champion (2010).
Rubio debuted in the Spanish ACB League in the 2005–06 season with DKV Joventut. He played for DKV Joventut from 2005 to 2009. Then Rubio played for FC Barcelona from 2009 to 2011. Notably, while playing in Spain, Rubio achieved many accolades.
Further, Rubio was selected fifth overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, Rubio joined the Timberwolves in the 2011–12 NBA season.
Rubio played for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2011 to 2017. Rubio made his regular-season NBA debut on December 26, 2011, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
