Predicted Manchester United XI to face Arsenal in the Premier League

Manchester United will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Arsenal during the weekend. The Red Devils’ 13-game unbeaten run was broken by bottom-placed Sheffield in their last game, which dented their title hopes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in rampant form over the last few games, winning 3 of their last 5 games. This will be one to watch though, given Manchester United’s splendid away form and Arsenal’s overall form.

Manchester United Team News

Manchester United actually have a few doubtful names going into this game. The only few names to miss out are Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo. Eric Bailly could be a doubt after missing the Sheffield United game.

A good few changes could be on the cards after a dismal showing in the last game. Expect a strong line-up to walk out with so much at stake.

Probable Manchester United XI vs Arsenal

Formation: 4-2-3-1

David De Gea (GK)

Hard to fault him for the goals conceded last game but could have been stronger for the first one. Retains his place nonetheless.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

There aren’t a lot of options for Wan-Bissaka to be rested or rotated. Continues his run of games.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

With Eric Bailly doubtful, Lindelof will keep his place in the side.

Harry Maguire (CB)

Captain Maguire headed in a rare goal but will need to brush up on his defensive capabilities.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Likely to replace Telles as he has proved to be more effective of the two.

Scott McTominay (DM)

Should be back into the fold to give some added protection to the backline.

Fred (DM)

Much like McTominay, Fred has been a staple of the big games to provide that bite in midfield.

Paul Pogba (LM)

Quiet outing for the in-form Frenchman but will continue his run in the side.

Bruno Fernandes (AM)

The mercurial Portuguese has cut a quiet figure at times but will be raring to produce his best against Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford (RM)

Has blown hot and cold through the season and needs to get some more goals.

Edinson Cavani (ST)

Anthony Martial’s shambolic showing in the last game should give Cavani the chance to stake his claim for a start.
