[Image] Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool XI to face Tottenham – Can the Reds overcome their bad form?

Predicted Liverpool XI to face Tottenham in the Premier League

Liverpool will turn their attention to the Premier League as Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham awaits them. The Reds crashed out of the FA Cup in their last game against Manchester United and have also been winless in the league for over a month now.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are in sparkling form ahead of the game, winning four of their last five games. A cagey affair could be expected given both teams would want those three points.

Team News

Jurgen Klopp will have a few injury concerns to deal with. There remain long-term absentees Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota. The duo of Naby Kieta and Kostas Tsimikas also remain out. Some good news will be the return of Joel Matip to defensive duties. However, captain Jordan Henderson is a doubt with his groin injury.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson (GK)

Alisson has proved his worth time and again in the side with crucial saves in every game.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster is horribly out of form and looks no close to getting back to his best.

Joel Matip (CB)

His return should help given how Rhys Williams struggled against Man United.

Fabinho (CB)

The Brazilian still continues in the backline in the absence of key defenders.

Andy Robertson (LB)

Perhaps one of the better defenders currently, Robertson has been producing his best in the last few games.

Thiago (DM)

The Spaniard has been in sublime form in the last few games with his all-round midfield play.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (CM)

The former Arsenal man should come in place of Milner to provide some fresh legs in the middle.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Will be vital to the side’s domination in midfield with his work rate and energy.

Mo Salah (RW)

Mo Salah kept the fight going for his side but couldn’t push them until the finish. Still, his return to form would be helpful.

Roberto Firmino (CF)

Much like Salah, Firmino got himself into the thick of things and started to contribute to the side.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane will be expecting a start for this one after playing a bit-part role in the last one.
