Predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers XI to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers claimed all three points with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League at home last week, thanks to goals from Raul Jimenez and Ivan Cavaleiro.

Nuno Santo’s men have won each of their last three games and another giant-killing might be on the cards when a resurgent Wolves welcome a rampant Liverpool on Saturday.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League standings, just a point clear of 2nd-placed Manchester City and the onus will be on the Reds to continue their unbeaten run.

Team News

Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t have too many injuries to contend with for Saturday’s clash. Jonny Otto Castro started the last game and should be fit to feature in the eleven once again this week while Diogo Jota suffered a hamstring strain in the last game and is doubtful to feature against Liverpool.

The Portuguese international kept a clean sheet in the last game and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.

The Englishman coped well with Bournemouth’s attackers last week and he will have his work cut out against a potent Liverpool attack on Saturday.

3. Conor Coady (CB)

The former Liverpool man has been the leader of the backline this season and he will need to be at the top of his game against his former club.

4. Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman put in a solid shift at the back last week and used his towering frame to keep out Bournemouth’s attacks.

7. Ruben Neves (CM)

The Portuguese international impressed with his passing, distribution and tenacity last week and he continues to be one of the mainstays of Wolves’ midfield.

8. Joao Moutinho (CM)

Helder Costa looked a bit sloppy in the last game and Nuno Santo might want to hand a start to the Portuguese after he scored a goal off the bench against Bournemouth.
